Working Abroad
So, what does Maria do with all your tips? Every year she packs up working long hours before and after to keep her clients regular treatments running smoothly, then heads off to Bosnia or this year to Scotland to work with Help for Heroes. Maria has worked with Healing Hands Network for a number of years now massaging and offering victims of the genocide and our own service families treatments; a mixture of treatments and facials are now added on for the war victims. For Maria everyone has a right to have a beautiful or caring treatment be it facial, technical or remedial massage, still some 30 years on people are suffering and the young affected so innocently in their youth are now feeling the ravages of war, the numbers never decrease. Maria is passionate about Healing Hands Network and they are now working also towards aiding the Ukraine, having sent over equipment and ambulances in the last few months. Maria also works tirelessly to help funding for dementia and does a number of fundraisers every year she is also a keen advocate of giving those with dementia the same treatments human touch is imperative in these years. Having lost her Father during COVID in a secure dementia unit Maria knows the importance of human connection and will always be available to treat your loved ones. Maria says “I feel I am lucky to have a skill set that I can use for the benefit of others and offer some release of pain. I could not work year to year without giving up some of my time voluntarily. I consider myself to be very lucky to have these opportunities. My greatest role models are those that never give up on humankind and do the best they can in a very changing world.”
